CHiC NEWS ONLINE COMMUNITY BENEFITS MANAGEMENT TOOL SERVES AS NATIONAL MODEL The Center for Health Futures developed CHiC Online to effectively and efficiently monitor and track the results of community benefits initiatives. And now this system is packaged so that other healthcare systems and nonprofit organizations throughout the country can subscribe and use this tool. "CHiC Online has allowed us to ensure coordination and accountability for the projects we have invested in within our community, while saving lots of staff time and paperwork" explains Center for Health Futures Executive Director and Senior Research Fellow Richard Bogue, Ph.D. "And we think other communities are eager to do the same. That is why we are working on a patent for the system and reaching out to offer this user-friendly product as a subscription service to other hospitals and community organizations across the U.S." CHiC Online provides an interface and ongoing, two-way communication between the funder and program or grantee, from the initial funding request to final reports. Users can customize the site, which contains worksheets to store data collected and tracking tools, including a dashboard that visually summarizes a project's status toward achieving its goals and outcomes. All proceeds from subscription sales are re-invested into improving the CHiC Online system and to support other research projects conducted by the Center for Health Futures.
